What is Functional Training?
Functional Training differs from traditional strength training by using muscle groups together rather than in isolation. This involves standing on one or two feet and moving weight allowing our core muscles to become activated. Functional Training involves “life-like” movements that incorporate all three planes of motion. All exercises involve a loading and unloading phase which allows the muscles to go through some stretching prior to the contraction phase.
